The situation in Gaza has become untenable The Israeli embargo has devastated the local economy, making it difficult aprovigionamenti of the basic necessities. In this situation, after a six-month truce this week, Hamas (the Islamic group elected democratically in the Palestinian territories three years ago) has taken over the firing of rockets against Israeli cities.
Israel's response is not too late. Air strikes, calling many reservists and massing of ground troops on the border are a clear sign of the likely resumption of hostilities and resumption of war. In two days of bombing the death toll at more than 300 in what has already become the largest massacre in the history of the Palestinian people in 60 years of struggle for liberation.
The UN calls for immediate end to the violence, the Western states continue to sell arms and do joint exercises with the State of Israel and the Palestinian people remains without a future.
Our struggle for peace continues, because each people can choose his destiny, tolerance to ethnic, linguistic and religious identity.
