The year 2010 was declared UN International Year of Biodiversity. On this occasion, the Cultural Association Kaleidoscienza of Udine, in collaboration with the group Graphicplayers, has made the announcement BIO-GRAPHICS 2010 with the aim of selecting graphic works from around the world to promote ideas and thoughts about biodiversity.

By 2010 BIO-GRAPHICS, graphics professionals and students from the world of graphics and communication were invited to express and represent the subject in the form of poster. It was proposed to the participants to imagine a possible future scenario in which the preservation of biodiversity is the fulcrum around which society develops, the recovery of traditions, customs related to family, common sense folk, sharing and the particularities of the territory , understood as the community and environment, can be interpreted as an instrument for the protection of biodiversity, technological development and the means to make it possible to reclaim the traditions of the past.
